Presented by Dragonflicks, the Talent Games: Talent Show 2012 were held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 7:00 PM in Temple City High School’s room 601.

For just five dollars, one would be granted access into the 8th annual Temple City High School talent show.  The audience had the delight of viewing 15 acts starring the talented high school members.

The night consisted of a wide range of singers, a cello group, varsity stompers, and even a country band.  The enthusiastic hosts of the show were Brandon Soohoo and Karissa Chan and the three judges were Mrs. Ferntheil, Mrs. Kidd, and Mr. Gulack.

The winner of the night received a whopping $100 and as the night concluded, the audience members reached the edge of their seats in anxiety to hear the winners of the Talent Games.

The 3rd place announcement went to Lizette Ariano with her performance of “At Last” by Elta Jones. The 2nd place went to Limaris Mendoza for her performance of “Hero” by Mariah Carey. Finally, the Cello Octet won first place with its glowing performance of “The Cello Song” composed by J. S. Bach.

Junior Paulina Lin from Cello Octet said, “It was a great experience and definitely worth the practice.”

Though not everyone was able to bring home a prize, nearly all the participants thoroughly enjoyed the competition.

Senior Patrick Ho from The Love Guns said, “I thought it was fun and a good experience to bonds with my buds.”

In the end, the Octet Cellists with their glow stick lined cellos walked away with the grand prize.
