On April 14th and 15th, Temple City High School will be having a free e-waste collection to help support Grad Nite. The event will be held at Temple City High School parking lot from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Any donations are welcome, include broken and used electronics. These include computers, TVs, monitors, radios, ink/toner cartridges, and similar items.
The event will be assisted by Attan Recycling Corp. Attan is a “state-approved disposal and recycling company,” according to Chris Garcia, a representative from Attan Recycling Corp.
Attan offers ‘electronic and computer recycling to help citizens help the environment and offers free e-waste removal services for businesses, schools & hospitals.’ It is located in Chino California.
The Temple City Grad Nite Committee has a few more fundraisers throughout the year to help raise funds. The person in charge of e-waste as part of the 2012 committee is Kim Wunner.
The Committee also recently held another fundraising event, “An Evening Under the Stars” on March 24th, from 7 PM to 12 AM. Earlier in the year, they held a Parking Lot sale along with independent sellers.
The committee also sells Ram Cards, which offer discounts to local dining locations and fast food restaurants. If anyone has extra old electronics, please come to the high school to donate to help support Grad Nite.
Grad Nite this year will be on Graduation Day, on June 15th. For more information on how to support Grad Nite, please visit the website or speak to Kim Sickles, the Grad Nite Committee Chair.
