On April 23, an annually Easter event took place at the Live Oak Park. Luckily, for all the residents of Temple City, the weather permitted everyone to be outside to enjoy a peaceful Saturday.
Children from ages 1-9 joined the Easter egg hunt in search for candy and other amazing prizes.
To be fair to all children, there were 4 different egg hunts for each different age group. The Easter egg hunt started at approximately 10 a.m. and lasted for about an hour. Children ran in designated areas trying to pick up the most eggs.
The eggs were mostly filled with candy while others were filled with a chance at grand prizes, which included coloring sets and more. Beside the egg hunt, there were free spring crafts, face painting, petting zoo, and pictures with the Easter bunny.
“This event is great,” said Temple City resident Lee An, “My kids always look forward to this every year.”
There was another event before the Egg hunt which included breakfast with the Easter Bunny. The breakfast cost only $5 and allowed the children to eat up before the hunt.
