With Temple City’s School Board elections scheduled to take place in November, the Temple City Voice and Temple City High School Junior State of America (JSA) are co-sponsoring a candidates’ forum to be held at Temple City High School on September 17, 2007.
Although the list of candidates attending this forum has not been confirmed, the forum will take place from 7-9 pm. The doors will be opened to the public at 6:45 pm.
Possible appearances at this forum include candidates: Robert McKendrick, the current incumbent; Dan Arrighi, a former Temple City Councilmember; Rachel LaSota, a civil service employee; Janet Rhee, a financial analyst; Robert (Bob) Ridley, a government finance officer; and Joan Vizcarra, a marriage-family therapist and former TCUSD Board member.
Being that this will be The Voice and JSA’s first forum, both organizations encourage all students, officials, and citizens of Temple City to attend this debate concerning the future incumbents of the School Board.
Elections will be held on November 6, 2007, but residents who are planning to vote must be registered voters by October 22nd.
